I’m a grand-dad (“Papa” to 7 kids), step-dad (4 daughters), husband (just the one wife, but she’s my favorite one), and programmer. I started coding in about 1977, and have been doing it professionally since around 1996. I work mostly in Java, but have, at times, worked in C, C++, C#, Javascript (Node), and a slew of ancillary and scripting languages. I’m currently consulting as part of Oracle Java team.

I also sailed a lot (lived on my boat for ~9 years), read a ton of SF, and am currently automating my home’s lights and security cameras.
