This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. Start Z-Wave inclusion. 2. Quickly press the switch button 3 times. The LED indicator will blink blue to signal communications and turn green for 3 seconds if inclusion is successful or turn red for 3 seconds if the pairing attempt fails. ### Exclusion Information 1. Start Z-Wave exclusion. 2. Quickly press the switch button 3 times. If successful, the LED will turn green for 3 seconds. ### General Usage Information * **SWITCH BUTTON**: on/off of connected load, reports association Group 1 lifeline to the controller, Group 2 basic set, Group 3 multilevel; reports Scene 5 with 7 attributes (actions) * **BUTTON 1**: Group 4 basic set, Group 5 multilevel; Scene 1 (7 actions) * **BUTTON 2**: Group 6 basic set, Group 7 multilevel; Scene 2 (7 actions) * **BUTTON 3**: Group 8 basic set, Group 9 multilevel; Scene 3 (7 actions) * **BUTTON 4**: Group 10 basic set, Group 11 multilevel; Scene 4 (7 actions) If your primary controller is missing or inoperable, you may need to reset the device to factory settings. To reset the device to factory settings, press and hold the switch button for 20 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing red. Release the button, and immediately after, tap remote button 1 once to complete the reset. The LED indicators on all buttons will flash red to confirm a successful reset. The ```switch_binary``` channel is of type ```switch_binary``` and supports the ```Switch``` item and is in the ```Switch``` category. ### Scene Number Triggers when a scene button is pressed. The ```scene_number``` channel is of type ```scene_number``` and supports the ```Number``` item. This channel provides the scene, and the event as a decimal value in the form ```.```. This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_15_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 16: Auto Turn-Off Timer for Relay Auto Turn-Off Timer for Relay Use this parameter to enable or disable the auto turn-off timer function (the time after which you want the switch to automatically turn off once it has been turned on). 0 – disabled (default); 1 – 65535 (minutes) Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set. The manufacturer defined default value is ```0```. This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_16_4``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 17: Auto Turn-On Timer for Relay Auto Turn-On Timer for Relay Use this parameter to enable or disable the auto turn-on timer function (the time after which you want the switch to automatically turn on once it has been turned off). 0 – disabled (default); 1 – 65535 (minutes) Values in the range 0 to 65535 may be set. The manufacturer defined default value is ```0```. This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_17_4``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 18: State After Power Failure State After Power Failure Set the on off status for the switch after power failure. The following option values may be configured -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | Relay and buttons remember and restore last state (default) | | 1 | Relay and buttons forced to off after power failure | | 2 | Relay and buttons forced to on after power failure | The manufacturer defined default value is ```0``` (Relay and buttons remember and restore last state (default)). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_18_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 19: Disable / Enable Control on the Relay Disable / Enable Control on the Relay Enable or disable paddle on/off control (aka disable the relay). If disabled, you’ll only be able to control the connected light via Z-Wave. Scenes and other functionality will still be available through buttons. **Values**: 0 – Disable local / physical control (from the button), enable Z-Wave control; 1 – Enable local / physical control (from the button), enable Z-Wave control (default); 2 – Disable local / physical control (from the button), disable Z-Wave control The following option values may be configured -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | Disable local control, enable Z-Wave control | | 1 | Enable local control, enable Z-Wave control (default) | | 2 | Disable local control, disable Z-Wave control | The manufacturer defined default value is ```0``` (Disable local control, enable Z-Wave control). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_19_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 20: Relay Behavior with Disabled Local / Z-Wave Control Relay Behavior with Disabled Local / Z-Wave Control Set reporting behavior for disabled physical control. **Values**: 0 – report on/off status when button is pressed and change LED indicator status if Parameter 19 is set to value 0 or 2; 1 – DON’T report on/off status when button is pressed and DON’T change LED indicator status if Parameter 19 is set to value 0 or 2 (but the relay will always send central scene command) (default) The following option values may be configured -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | report on/off status | | 1 | DON'T report on/off status (default) | The manufacturer defined default value is ```1``` (DON'T report on/off status (default)). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_20_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ### Parameter 21: 3-Way Switch Type 3-Way Switch Type Choose the type of 3-way switch you want to use with this switch in a 3-way set-up. **Values**: 0 – regular mechanical 3-way on/off switch, use the connected 3-way switch to turn the light on or off (default); 1 – momentary switch, click once to change status (light on or off) The following option values may be configured -: | Value | Description | |--------|-------------| | 0 | regular mechanical 3-way on/off switch (default) | | 1 | momentary switch | The manufacturer defined default value is ```0``` (regular mechanical 3-way on/off switch (default)). This parameter has the configuration ID ```config_21_1``` and is of type ```INTEGER```. ## Association Groups Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic. The ZEN32 supports 11 association groups. ### Group 1: Lifeline The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.
