I have successfully used adb commands to control my fire stick. That’s nice. However being as adb works like a remote - one in which the computer cannot see the screen, I’m wondering how folks actually apply it to do anything useful beyond having an openhab UI sub for a remote controller.
I’m thinking something like - “Play the most recent PBS Newshour” or something like that as a useful thing, but any way that I think something like that could be done would be extremely brittle, i.e. subject to problems when there’s a change to the on-screen layout.
