A couple of weeks ago I bought a new shelly wave plug to use to turn on and off a coffee machine, only to find out that only the US version is in the ZWave Database.
No probs, I’ll add to the database. I read the guide here Blog Posts and I logged a ticket on the site. Is this the right way to go about it? The ticket doesn’t seem to have been reviewed.
In addition, given I have a UK version, there is a US version in the database and the blog says -
“Often a manufacturer will have a different model number, and possibly different Type and ID for the same device in different regions (eg ZE32EU, ZE32UK and ZE32US) - unless these are known to be different devices with different configuration, then it is best to simply call them by the model number without the regional part (eg ZE32) and use a single database entry.”
When I do get access, how should I approach this as there is already a Shelly Wave Plug US entry there. Should I try to edit the existing entry to make it region agnostic, or should I just add a new version for the UK.
