After updating to Openhab5 inline scripts within rules not excuting anymore

Hello@all,

after I updated from OH4 to OH5.0.0 the rules with inline scripts are not executed any more. To get the rules executed again, you have to select the rule, choose the inline script, click on save and tadaa its executed again.

Does somebody know, how to prevent this. I experienced the same problem after updating from OH5.0.0 to OH5.01.

We need more details.

  • what language(s) are the scripts?
  • errors in the logs during startup or when the rule is triggered
  • do other rules work?
  • what’s the status of the rule when it’s not able to run?
  • does the behavior appear after clearing the cache too or only on an upgrade?
  • did you restart after the upgrade/clearing the cache after OH has had a chance to redownload and install all the add-ons?

I suspect simply enabling and disabling the rules would be sufficient to make the rules work again. I posted some JS code to the 5.0 release discussion thread that will do this automatically from -Scratchpad-.
