I am concerned about the holes you drilled in the cover. Wouldn’t rain end up in the cover?
No issues at all for the rain.
If the rain runs down into the holes, it drains at the bottom of the cover that was holes. The holes are for it to hear and speak, otherwise no communication would occur.
