Amazon Echo Binding TTS Delay

Since more than a quarter I have a big problem with a delayed speech of the Binding. The order is set immediately after a button was pressed. But the announcement is made later. How late depends on the restart of my OpenHAB. If I restart had made 30 minutes ago the announcement comes after the pressed button. Some days after the restart the announcement comes one hour later. One week 1,5-2 hours later than expected.
I do not know what is wrong? I installed a new OH 4.2.3 with Unraid. I switched between the main Binding and the one of the Marketplace.
I stopped the binding, de-installed the binding, cleared cache and tmp and re-installed the binding.
On my Amazon account I deleted all not necessary instances of the echo apps.
If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Similar experience here. When my garage doors open or close I execute a rule to send notifications. Text notes to multiple kodi instances, text to speech to a sonos beam speaker, and text to speech to several amazon echo devices.

Since the rule fires all notifications simultaneously I can time them. Kodi text appears instantly, sonos TTS sounds instantly, but amazon alexa TTS takes 15-30 minutes to be heard. Nothing obvious as a failure in the logs. Seems this is specific to the amazon alexa api or binding rather than any issue with openhab TTS in general.

Yep, I have seen delays as long as 30 min.

On my oppinion it is a fault of OpenHAB. If you restart the System. The announcement will be said immediately. How further the instance is on it will be delayed more and more. If you then restart the System again it will be effected immediately again. It sounds for me if there is a cache which will be filled up how further it goes.

Not sure what version your running, but this version has been working all year for me.

It’s the SmartHome/J version.

Just remove the .TXT from the ending and replace yours.

Jay, I switched to OH 4.3 in the hope to clear any cache and use a different folder for the new docker installation… didn’t help. The delay is going a bit bigger from the date of fresh installation or restart. I do not know what is wrong with my installation.
