Hello,
I’m having a problem with the AmazonEchoControl binding in version 5.2.1 (openHAB is also on version 5.2.1). Since yesterday, I’ve been unable to control openHAB items—such as KNX or HomeMatic—using voice commands.
In versions 5.2.2 and 5.2.3, I haven’t seen anything that would indicate a change to AmazonEchoControl (which is why I haven’t updated yet).
I get the following voice response: “I’m not sure exactly what went wrong with the light.”
The log only contains the following message regarding the binding (though this has been there for a while):
2026-10-18 07:28:24.065 [WARN] [ntrol.internal.connection.Connection] - Failed to get notifications: https://eu-api-alexa.amazon.com/api/notifications failed with code 400: Bad Request
When I run a test in the DEBUG console, only this additional entry appears (no new entries or errors appear in events.log):
2026-10-18 07:45:12.367 [DEBUG] [trol.internal.handler.AccountHandler] - check login amazonechocontrol:account:account3
When I open the Binding Overview, my account and the devices are online: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/amazonechocontrol
In the Alexa app, all devices (KNX, Sonoff, HomeMatic) are listed as “Device not responding.” I also can’t control them from the app.
Controlling the devices directly via the openHAB clients works perfectly.
Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can try?
Best regards,
Reinhard
