Asking Google Assistant "how long until..."?

Hi all,

since openHAB started to support Google Assistant I’m searching for a solution to report when a specific date is set (like appointment, especially garbage collection). Asking in the forum I was informed that Google isn’t able to read and report a DateTime item

But now I saw in the Binding documentation that it’s possible to ask “how long until the car is charged?”. I hope it’s easy to convert this into “how many days until garbage will be collected?”

Does anyone have a clue how to do configure the required item? I will take care that the item stores the number of days or whatever is needed.
