I’ve installed a couple of these smart locks in my residence and have them functioning using August’s “Connect” Wifi hub. Works via BLE and Wifi with the Connect switching protocol based on the most suitable RSSI. In any case, I’d like to interface with the locks with OpenHAB, but the binding I’ve seen available for it supports only the Z-Wave control implementation. Has anyone looked into the Wifi control?

There is a Python API used by Home Assistant.
If you are comfortable with Python you can create your own script to get the status and control the lock.
