Avmfritz: Support for Zigbee temperatur sensor as HAN FUN thing?

Hi all,

I started playing around with attaching Zigbee sensors to my Fritzbox and I found that some of them are supported as they are mapped as HAN FUN things. But as there was yet not HAN FUN (DECT-ULE) temperature sensor I would be curious how and if it is possible to map it with an existing HAN FUN thing type or if that requires a new thing type?

Maybe this problem/question has already been identified, is in progress or has even been solved?

I would be happy if somebody has already made some experience with that and share it with me

I found that there is already a feature request on GitHub. So, it is right, that this is a missing feature and not my inability to configure it appropriately

Please add support for Zigbee temperature and humidity sensors to the avmfritz a…ddon. These sensors are connected via a FRITZ!Smart Gateway. Connect the temperature/humidity sensor to the system via the FRITZ!Smart Gateway. 2. Initiate the discovery process in the avmfritz addon. 3. Observe the debug output indicating an unsupported device. ### Expected Behavior The avmfritz addon should correctly identify and support temperature and humidity sensors, updating readings accordingly. The reason why this is an important request is because the Fritz!DECT thermostats support the zigbee temperature sensors as external temperature sensors and hence they are tightly connected to the functionality of the thermostats. And therefore it would be great to have their data also integrated into OpenHAB.

Hi there,
please do not get me wrong and this post is not intended to be demanding. I just kindly like to ask if this requirement has been seen and considered (yet) as I saw that there has not even been someone assigned to this issue on GitHub even though it was raised already in November 2024.

It would be very kind if at least if someone would comment whether this issue is not important enough or it has been deprioritized or has not been considered (yet) for whatever reason. But to have absolutely no feedback on a confirmed issue (as it has been independently reported by two users) is a bit frustrating.

Thank you for a short comment if an how the AVM!Fritz binding is being maintained to keep it up to date to the newly introduced sensors by AVM.
