Azul Zulu Builds of OpenJDK MSI Install Fail

    • Hardware: Intel(R) Core™ i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 – 32GB Ram
    • OS: Windows 10 Pro 21H2 Build 19044.1348
    • Java Runtime Environment: ??
    • openHAB version: OpenHAB 3

HomeSeer User, Looking at alternatives in openHAB but ran into a problem on the very first step.

  1. Following the Windows installation Instructions.
  2. Downloaded Azul Zulu Builds of OpenJDK (Zulu: 11.52.13) LTS MSI 64 Bit 11.0.13+8
  3. Double click installer >>, Hit Next, (Leave Default Options) >>, Hit Next >>, Hit Install

Error : “Wizard ended prematurely because of an error”. Nothing to give insight in Windows Logs.

Any idea’s?

Just a guess. Did you run installer as administrator?

The logged on user is an administrator. There is no right click “run as administrator” function available (.msi)

Sorry, was reading on my phone and missed that it was the Java install failing. I succeeded using the ZIP file installer - though was some time back. Maybe ask on their forums for assistance?
