BoschSHC thing to reach "presenceSimulationService"

Hi there!

I like to read and change the “presence simulation service” within the Bosch SHC.

I think in earlier versions there was a way to connect to “presenceSimulationService” but I am not able to reproduce that.

Does somebody knows a way to access the state and maybe change that state?

Hi, to my knowledge this is not supported yet. If you managed to get or set the state of the presence simulation service I would be interested to know how it works :wink:

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. As far as I remember I used a kind of automation. Within Bosch SHC there was an option to start the simulation of a result of that automation “then”-part. At a given time in the evening AND IF A SOCKET has been switched on the simulation was activated by SHC itself.
So I just switched the socked on as a switch to start simulation. When we were leaving the house with “Alexa good bye” we switched on the socked via openHAB. So the simulation will be startet every evening as long as the Bosch Socket stayed on…

Got it, that’s a smart workaround :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

For your information, I’m working on a pull request that will add support for the presence simulation, so this will most probably be available in the next openHAB release :+1:

EDIT: enabling and disabling the presence simulation service is now supported since openHAB 5.1.0.M1 :smiley:
