Sometime back support for f7, material, and iconify icon sets were added to MainUI’s “Category” field for each Item. This was at the same time that support was added to Sitemaps IIRC.
I’m just now getting to looking into this. I’m not unhappy with the OH icons but there are a number of Items I have that the OH icons simply lack a viable option. However, I find it jarring to have the nice and colorful OH icons on the MainUI Items page mixed in with black f7 and material icons and miss the option to use an expression to choose the icon and the color based on the Item’s state.
Before I file an issue though I want to make sure I’m not missing something. I’ve experimented using the icon field syntax for sitemaps to choose the icon shown based on state to no avail. But even sitemaps have a separate property to control the icon color.
I do know I can save off and create a set of icon files and use traditional OH icons.
Note, I’m OK even if these icons are not dynamic. It would be nice though to have a little bit of color on the Items page without saving off icons files.
