Charting with MySQL persistence

I am trying to add a chart with MySQL persistence turned on. I can see values in my database but the chart servlet thorws an exception. This is with 1.7 and 2.0 does not support MySQL persistence (as of 2.0 snapshot available at cloudbees). Any help would be appreciated.

The exception normally provides a clue as to what is happening, so it would be useful if you can post information to help people help you…

@chris
Thanks for the response. When I open the sitemap on my HABDroid it does not show anything and there is no exception on the console. But when I use a URL on the browser like so: http://192.168.0.21:8080/chart?items=Lv_Light_nrg&period=h I get an exception with the following stack trace. I have also tried http://192.168.0.21:8080/chart?items=Lv_Light_nrg&period=h&service=mysql and http://192.168.0.21:8080/chart?items=Lv_Light_nrg&period=h&service=“mysql” and http://192.168.0.21:8080/chart?items=Lv_Light_nrg&period=h&provider=mysql. All URIs lead to same exception.

This error means that it can’t find the chart provider which is used to actually graph the data. The provider is set in the openhab.cfg file and you should find a line as follows -:

chart:provider=default

If that doesn’t exist, then it should be added.

@chris Ahh… I had set it up to say “mysql”. After changing it to say default everything works now. Thanks for the help :+1:

No problem - I’m glad it’s working :smile:

Hello,

I have also the errormessage “Could not get chart provider.” if I’m starting a chart.

At the initial setup all charts are displayed. This setup works for a few weeks.
But after a restart of the raspberry, all charts are gone and the error in the logs occurs.

The solution of post 4 doesn’t work because OH2 has no openhab.cfg.

Is there any other config.file?

My Charts.cfg:

org.eclipse.smarthome.ui.chart:provider=rrd4j
org.eclipse.smarthome.ui.chart:scale=

The complete errormessage is:
