Since I would like to upgrade my OH2 installation regularly using the latest snapshots, it would be helpful to have an option which allows for a different location of the userdata directory under macOS. Is there startup command line switch or configuration option available for this use case?
To be consistent, would one require such an option for the conf directory as well since it also relates to user specific configuration?
There is no option that I know of. To handle this use case I suspect using symbolic links is the way you will need to do this.
However, I’m not entirely certain what you are trying to accomplish. Are you wanting to upgrade to a completely clean install and then add back in your configs? Seems like a lot of extra work with little benefit to me. A simple backup before the install seems like it would be sufficient.
