Cloud Connector - install error because of astro binding?

Hello all,

i try to install the openHAB cloud connector via PaperUI (openHAB 2.5.0 release build), but the install wheel keeps stuck.
So looking into the :log gives the following hint:

2021-05-02 11:23:58.366 [ERROR] [core.karaf.internal.FeatureInstaller] - Failed installing 'openhab-misc-openhabcloud': Error:

	Error downloading mvn:org.openhab.addons.bundles/org.openhab.binding.astro/[2.5.0,2.6)

What can i do?

Download the addons kar(s) and place in your system for offline installation.

Too late for that.
Bintray is gone now and was sunset on May 1. There is no official way to download any 2.5.x.

So i have to upgrade to openHAB 3.x, or what do you mean?

I think you can

go to Index of openhab-linuxpkg/pool/main/2.5.12
download openhab2-addons_2.5.12-1_all.deb
extract the kar file from the above deb file
I don’t know if 2.5.0 and 2.5.12 are fully compatible

If I recall correctly, 2.5.1 made changes permitting the bindings to be updates separately from the core. Remaining 2.5.x just updated the bindings so, I expect, there may be issues with a 2.5.12 kar file on 2.5.0. I would expect it to work on 2.5.1 & later though.

I believe the announcement & did not expect the 2.5.12 kar to be on artifactory. Apparently the .deb for Debian based Linux is there too.The v2 web page still points to the broken bintray.

If the OP is running a Debian based Linux OS I would recommend updating to 2,5,12 and the kar file.
