Code view always shows white screen

  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: AMD E-450 APU/8GB/lots of storage_
    • OS: linux CentOS 8
    • Java Runtime Environment: openjdk 11.0.13
    • openHAB version: 3.1.1
  • Issue of the topic: When trying to view any code in the UI, be it actual code or just the “code” tab, I get a white screen. No code is visible, interaction is not possible.

Apparantely, this only happens on Firefox, Chrome works fine.

The browser is also on CentOS 8?

No, the browser is running on Fedora 35.

It is Firefox 96.0, btw

First lets try to obvious stuff.

  1. Are the rules still running? Do you see evidence of that in the logs or by watching the status of the rules or by watching the event stream in the developer sidebar?

  2. Can you pull your rules from the API Explorer?

3.Have you tried restarting your browser and restarting OH?

Hi,

Yes, the rules still execute. I can see the evidence when my rollershutters go up and down automatically

I can pull the rules from the API explorer, the display is quite messy on firefox but more or less usable. On chrome it looks nice.

I have restarted the browser and openhab, no change.

OK, so there isn’t anything funky going on with the REST API and Firefox and it doesn’t appear to be a transitory issue that can be cleared up so I think an issue needs to be filed.

Is this something I do? If so, where and how?

You’ll file it on the openhab-webuis repo. The developers will probably need to gather more information so it’s not really something I can do.

Thank you. I have submitted issue Code view shows white screen in Firefox · Issue #1289 · openhab/openhab-webui · GitHub
