Some battery powered Z-Wave devices hang during the default daily network heal. Removing & replacing the battery should restore that.
You can turn off the default daily heal if your network is pretty stable.
Thanks. I’ll try that.
Is the device included securely? This will be indicated in the device properties - if the device is not securely included, then it will not do very much.
hmmm… wasn’t aware of this. I thought aeotec pen took care of all needed steps. Let me check and I’ll report back.
Thanks for the tips!
No - it doesn’t really do anything. The binding performs all the security aspects and there are some critical timing requirements in relation to when this happens - ie it must take place within 15 seconds of the device being included into the network. This means that the inclusion must be done via the binding, and not using the button on the Aeon stick if that’s what you have done?
You can’t change this. As I already said, the secure key exchange must happen within 15 seconds of inclusion.
You therefore need to exclude the device and reinclude it.

Thanks Chris (and kovacsi2899)! Much appreciated for all the help!
