Contact Item cannot be updated by Rest API

Hi,
I added an item
Contact Kitchen_Door
And try to change it’s value by Rest API.

When I set it to OPEN or CLOSED I get :

HTTP ERROR 400
Problem accessing /rest/items/Test2. Reason:
Bad Request Powered by Jetty://

I’m using Openhab2 version 2.0.0-1
Does someone have the same issue ?

Just noticed this too and I cannot find anything on this topic. Can somebody explain this to me?

Is this because you shouldn’t change a contact manually?

Yes, a contact can only get read.
