By accident, I noticed that if you enter a search filter in the Things overview, like this:
… the small Copy UID “double square” might copy the wrong UID. For instance, I tried copying homekit:bridged-accessory:72157980e9e1:5, but turned out with enocean:centralCommand:ccb063c185:eltako_gang_boven on the clipboard.
Trying to copy homekit:bridged-accessory:72157980e9e1:5 from this setup:
… gives me shelly:shelly1mini:6055f9988f3.
I thought that maybe shelly:shelly1mini:6055f9988f3 would be the first Thing listed (and the filter wrongly renders the first overall Thing, instead of the first Thing in the selection), but that’s not the case:
(Obviously, I have Things named with letters prior to V ;))
But look: enocean:centralCommand:ccb063c185:eltako_gang_boven:
So I think I was half right:
So it takes the first overall Thing which has a label that starts with the same letter as the Thing that’s shown in the filtered view.
How peculiar!
(I now realize I should probably make a GitHub issue, rather than a post here… But that’s such a hassle, with the template and all the requested information… That won’t be for today then…)
