I would like to know if it is possible to create a custom Android app from scratch to operate with a Rasp (with OpenHAB running on it of course). Has anyone tried ?
This is definitely possible, as long as you use the REST API. There is already at least one, called HomeHabit (formerly Rotini) …

I do a bit of Android development and I would like to try out a new UI Toolkit (Jetpack Compose).
To do so I think that the fastest way is to make a new project from scratch.
If I find some ways in which I can contribute to the existing app I’ll do so !!
