My Viessmann heat pump’s warm water buffer’s temperature drops every midnight. This happens because the DHW charging function becomes active.
Does anyone else see this behaviour or can tell me why this happens? Could the openhab binding play a part in that behaviour?
It seems like your question is not an OpenHAB question; but rather a Viessmann question. Or?
Part of my question is, whether the binding could cause this.
I second, that really is not a openHAB question, you better ask the Viessmann community.
Bindings don’t actively manage anything.
But find out yourself. Just enable binding debugging.
Found the answer in the meantime. In German it is called “Pumpenkick”, at least for Viessmann devices. All pumps that have not been active for a certain time are activated for some minutes in order to prevent them from getting stuck.
