I have a Dimple LA 12 MI ASHP which is about 10 years old and working well. However I’d like to collect various data points from its bus, but not sure if this is possible.
The control unit is the only connection (no WiFi, LAN, BT), and looks remarkably like a Panasonic control unit and is a 4 core wire. I suspect it’s serial / RS485 but can’t be certain. Dimplex support haven’t been able to advise.
I have a collection of ESP32 devices around the house and it would be great to work out the interface on the ASHP and hopefully find a prebuilt interface board.
Any pointers or suggestions gratefully received!
