Dynamic icon 'batterylevel' not showing what I expected

If the battery level is 100 %, why is the icon an empty battery?

Or am I wrong in understanding that the icon is dynamic?

You probably haven’t set the unit metadata on the Item to %, so it’s sitting the value as ONE which is a simple ratio (i.e. a value between 0 and 1, as opposed to between 0 and 100.

I hadn’t set the unit metadata indeed. I’m not sure how to do that correctly…

Aha, I noticed the Sonos binding had a similar channel, and there it worked. The problem lied here:
