Edit things thru Rest Api

Hello all,

I’m very new to openhab. I’m trying to edit my thing using rest api. But i get always the response “Cannot update Thing knx:ip:bridge as it is not editable.” Can i somehow change the status “editable” to “true” so a i can then edit it thru rest apoi?

You cannot edit Things (or Items) that you first created from a xxx.things file. This is by design.
