Enocean teach-in - allows multiple gateways?

If I “teach-in” an Enocean sensor to OH2, does this affect the communication of the sensor with an existing gateway (my current home automation controller)?

I’ll answer my own question: I sort-of-successfully added an Enocean sensor to OH without disturbing its pairing with my old home automation.
