Error during thing creation: Conflict

    • openHAB version: 3.3.0

I am trying to set up the homematic binding so I can talk to my eq-3 Max! radiator valves from openHAB. I have followed this guide with some success - but am falling at the last hurdle.

I have flashed my cube, I have homegear running and I can pair the hardware devices, but I can’t get the homematic binding to install in openHAB. Specifically, when I click on the inbox item for the homegear bridge and choose “Add as a thing”, I get the message “Error during thing creation: Conflict” and the log entry is:

[WARN ] [g.discovery.internal.PersistentInbox] - Cannot create thing. No binding found that supports creating a thing of type homematic:bridge.

Any ideas please?
