Hello,
I just upgraded my OH 3.4 to OH 4.0.2 and now I see lots of errors like this in the log:

Any guess what could be the problem?

You 'll have to install the JavaScript Scripting Engine.

OK, please point me in the right direction.
Is there link that describes how to do that?

It’s a common addon, just go to addons and install…

Thank you! There are actually two available in the addons section:

  • Javascript Scripting
  • Javascript Scripting (Nashorn)

I picked the first one. Hope this was correct…

edit: Wow, it changed from an error message to an exception…

Reading the release notes you should have noticed that you need to upgrade your rules for usage with GraalVM (which you have installed) or to install Nashorn.

Oh yeah, breaking changes… :slight_smile:

I installed Nashorn and am now updating all my rules to
“type: application/javascript;version=ECMAScript-5.1”
