Error occurred installing a bundle after update to 4.0.3

After I updated my system from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3, I can no longer install bindings.
Can anyone help me?

Welome to our community.
We might try to help, if you show us, what errors you get.

This message now appears in a continuous loop

I have exactly the same issue. Same error after updating from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3. All my old bindings are now uninstalled, and when I try install them OR try add a different one (that was not previously installed) via the admin GUI, the spinner just goes around and around, and never actually installs. Note also that ‘sudo openhabian-config’ also does not work, it tries to load and then just spits me back to the command prompt with a message saying ‘We hope you got what you came for’. I have no lost control of almost everything in my house…

I installed a marketplace binding without any issue, so the error appears to be around the openHAB Distribution bindings specifically. Is it possible to roll back to a previous version of openhab and openhab_addons ? If so, how can I do that without being able to access the console ?

This is a full view of terminal when I log in (as the user ‘openhabian’) and try run ‘sudo openhabian-config’. Note that it seems to think (from what I can tell) that the password for the user ‘openhabian’ is the default password. This is incorrect, the password was changed and the password is not the default (and when I try log into terminal using the default, it fails, so that verifies what I am saying). This is the only thing I can see in all this output that indicates some type of issue. Sadly I am not a programmer, so now a number of things in my house (including geysers, pool pump, etc) are all shut down and I have no way of turning them on.

You are not correct.
There is a default routine checking if the default password for openhabian is still set.
At the end it says OK in case the default password was changed.
As it does say OK it confirms that you changed the password.

Restore the backup that you have …?
Which console do you talk about ( Linux / Karaf / Web UI ) ?
I think to remember that there has been at least one thread where a marketplace addon caused problems. After removing the marketplace addon of previous version startup of OH was ok again.

Know anyone the command to install openhab version 4.0.2?

First

apt-cache policy <package name>

to identify the package versions that are available.
You need to replace with the name of the package of interest e.g. openhab or openhab-addons.

Then

sudo apt-get install <package name>=<version>

again replace the placeholders with relevant values.

I use this command

sudo apt-get install openhab=4.0.2

and get this error

E: Version '4.0.2' for 'openhab' was not found

OK, 4.0.2-1 is the correct version

Downgrade doesnt help

this error from the day before yesterday is displayed in an endless loop

This screenshot is not really readable.

Solution is to set up a new System :man_shrugging:
