@Multisaft7 if you’re on latest openHAB, check out the Home Builder user interface Add-on.
It will generate a Sitemap for you along with all the items and even a HABPanel dashboard 
I’m yet to write a proper tutorial/example for the tool, but you should definitely play around with it.
