Hello, I’m setting up Openhab2 on a Raspberry PI for the first time. I’m a long time Unix programmer, so have no concerns with modifying config files from the command line and such. What I haven’t yet been able to figure out is how I determine which binding I need to detect my existing door sensors, smoke detector, etc. I am currently using Alarm.com with an Interlogix Simon XTi control pad. I believe the door sensors are model (ADC-IS-221-LP Interlogix and DSC), (ADC-IS-220-GC 2GIG), or (ADC-IS-221-IQ Qolsys). I’ve tried searches on this forum, on Alarm.com, and Google and still cannot determine what communications technology my hardware is using. Can anyone provide suggestions?
First you need to know how your system exposes data. REST API? RS232? Alarm.com has an API if you don’t want to mess with hardware. Or change to a more common “dev” friendly hardware such as Honewell Vista. My setup can be found here:
