Failed to start rpi-eeprom-update.service

Hi,

since recently I am seeing an error message in the overview after logging into my system. It seems that after a reboot the rpi-eeprom-update.service is not started accordingly. If I restart it after the boot everything seems fine though.

I was wondering if anybody else experienced this issue and how to fix it?

I would use the dmesg, systemctl status and/or journalctl command to check if the output gives any hint on the root cause.

I have the same issue with like @Ltty showed in the screenshot. Same OH version as but I had it also earlier.

I can start the service and it is actually enabled, but it is always initially reported as ‘failed’ when I start the ssh session:

You grepped for rpi. In case the error message itself did not contain rpi the it will not be shown in the output. Could you check if in the lines between ( the output you got ) are more details ?
