German "Umlaut" are not working

  • Platform information:
    • openHAB version: openHAB 3.1.0.M2
  • Issue of the topic: In openhab2 I had some log outputs in my rules and also TTS outputs with german “umlaut” like “Wäschetrockner”. In openhab3 they are not working anymore. I receive something like W?schetrockner in the log and also in the TTS output.

logError(“waschraum.rules”,“Der Wäschetrockner ist fertig”)

Is a special config needed for german umlauts, maybe in my ubuntu or in openhab itself?
For openhab3 I use a container with
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Release: 20.04
Codename: focal

Openhab2 is running on a different container, so maybe the ubuntu config is different.

Ok, I found it out. It was a problem with the locale of my system.
