I have seen that you can use an Alexa to read out texts from openHab. Wondering if you can do the same with a Google Home. If yes, how? I can select the default output, to be one of my Google Home’s but how can I use some TTS to play out audio on it?
You can use any of the OH TTS services and then install the Chromecast binding to use your Google home as the audiosink or playback device.
Which TTS service is the best for general purposes? How can I use later on to say commands throught it?
I like the Amazon POLLY TTS as well as the new GOOGLE CLOUD voice service one.

You can look into the “say” command and implement with rules.
