Home Connect binding

Hi,

I’ve exactly the same problem. At first i thought the problem was caused by moving to a new openhab server. But after reinstalling the binding and of all of the equipment the problem is the same. In the logs i cannot find anything.

I think the problem started when upgrading to openhab 2.5.6? With 2.5.5 it was stable and running like it should.

I have updated to 2.5.6 recently, so it could be related to that.

Was planning on upgrading to 2.5.6 but reading this feedback, I think I’ll wait

@jb4711: I don’t think anything in the home connect binding has changed between the two versions, right? Do you see anything else that could have an impact?

Hi @pgruetter, @Pascal_S, @Lodewijk,

thanks for your updates. Strange. I will try to test the binding with 2.5.6. The binding itself didn’t changed. So something might change in openHAB core. My guess would be that the OAuth-Authentication module changed. I’m using it from core.

I will check next week. Currently I can’t test as my Intel NUC broke and I’m waiting for it to be repaired.

Hi @jb4711,

Thanks for looking in to this. I find something else, when going to paper ui → control, everything setting from the appliance is double. Do you have this as well @Pascal_S?

Not seeing this at my end @Lodewijk

Hello @jb4711,

I am also discovering issues in the last days, but could not figure out why. Since I had to recover from backup I am not sure, if I had the issues already with 2.5.5 or only in 2.5.6.
So it could be in 2.5.6 or maybe BSH has changed something, since your binding was not changed.

My items do not refresh after some time (today I discovered it after something around 20h, but could be less than that). In Paper UI my dishwasher Thing an the Bridge is shown online. There are no entries related to the binding in openhab.log and events.log.
Wenn I authorize the binding again with my Home-Connect account everything works fine for a while.

Sinds 2.5.0 no changes to core are published into 2.5.x releases. Only addons are updated. There is another option; some oauth / api changes at homeconnect cloud, but not sure how to check. There are some notable reviews in github, do you have any time to get a look at it? Hopefully your nuc gets repaired soon, i like this binding and would definitely see it merged just to be sure no future change would make all the work for nothing. I have seen that happening several times to some binding’s that it just took to long to get merged and eventually the developer gave up.

I fail at the step “authorize bridge”. It does’nt matter if I use PaperUI or things file. At the page http(s)://[YOUROPENHAB]:[YOURPORT]/homeconnect I press “Authorize bridge” button, I always get
{
“error”: “unauthorized_client”,
“error_description”: “client not authorized for this oauth flow (grant_type)”,
“state”: “homeconnect:api_bridge:api_bridge”
}

Where is my mistake? All the previous other steps of the configuration are successful.

Thanks a lot

Hi Stephan,

can you please check the OAuth Flow at the Home Connect developer site

Should look like this:

Still waiting for my NUC. It’s ridiculous how long Intel needs for the repair.

In the meantime I’ve tried to reproduce the problem on my laptop with no luck. I think the access token is valid for 24h and afterwards a new token is created with the help of the refresh token.

Another thing. Can you please check your settings at the Home Connect developer site. Is One time token disabled?
openhab_2_5_0_authorization_code_grant_flow _ Home Connect Developer Program

I have device flow at this point. I will create a new application with right value. Thanks.

I updated to OH 2.5.6 on Saturday and just checked again: After 2 days the plugin still works correctly for me. So I can’t confirm any problems yet.

I checked for my application and can confirm that One Time Token Mode was and is disabled.
Nevertheless I got the “24h” Issue.
Is there anything I can provide you until you are able to reproduce this?

Could you export your log for me. http://IP_OF_OPENHAB:PORT/homeconnectlogs

@jb4711 Similar behavior here. Although this happened since update to 2.5.5. (openhabian). Bridge is online and seems connected (I see thing online). However my washer or dryer things do not stay online. When I change the name of the thing in Paper UI they come up and it all works as expected. After the washer thing has gone offline when the washing machine is turned off it isn’t coming back online when physically turned on… same for the dryer.

@jb4711 Any tips or hints where to check why the devices stay offline would be appreciated.

Regards, Bernd

Of course. Find the log attached.
Strange thing is:
Today 8:20h I reinitialized the bridge and still channels did not get updated in Openhab. Right now I tested the Power State of my Cooktop and it seemed to work… But you should also have logs of the past to two days captured in the export when the issue still existed.

Is that exportet log fine for you or do you need it as plain text?

Edit:
Things are not getting updated again. Logs:

Here’s a simple task, but I’m at a dead end. Can anybody guide me on how to use a curl command to turn the hood light on and off? I have my Client ID and Client Secret. Thanks!

@Pascal_S Is your bridge channel not updated as well or “just” the home connect devices ? I experience an issue where the bridge seems to work nicely (online) but the washer / dryer keep staying offline when turned on…

Things are shown as online in openhab as well as the bridge itself. I don’t know how to determime whether my bridge is working fine because I don’t see any Updates on the thing’s channels (e.g. Cook top Power state or oven cavity temp).
