I’m trying out the latest binding homeconnect-2.5.9.202011180823 with OH 2.5.11. I’ve got a Bosch Dishwasher connected to home connect.
At first sight, it’s working. Data is coming in. But after a while, I noticed Offline/Online every x-minutes in my logs.

Before my upgrades (OH2.5.10 to 2.5.11 and binding 2.4 to 2.5.9), it was working.
Any idea what I’m missing?

I saw this once too. No idea what’s going on.
Can you send me the request and event logs?

Please uninstall the binding and wait 24 hours.
Due to the ONLINE --> OFFLINE loop the binding ins producing to many requests.

Should this also work for Constructa Dishwashers, which are also using the Home-Connect app?
I have set up the bridge in openHAB successfully, but my device won’t show up during auto-discovery.

Hello everyone,

I’m new to openhab after some mishaps with IFTTT…
I would like to connect my PLC, which controls the lights, and API services through MQTT.

I have a dishwasher that is connected to home-connect.

How do install your plugin onto my raspberry pi? do i just clone the repo into /usr/share/openhab2/addons?

You have to copy the bundle jar file into this folder. The current Home Connect binding version is linked in the first entry of this thread.

Strange problem. You receive many disconnect events. My guess would be that the Wifi connection of the dishwasher is not very stable (Not sure).
Can you please check the connection setting in the official Home Connect app (In the settings area of your device).

I don’t see anything abnormal in the home connect app.
I’ve got all my network nodes in a monitoring tool (check_mk), and didn’t see 1 drop on network level. these are the results for the dishwasher:

Packet loss:	0%
Round trip average:	3.06 ms
Round trip maximum:	3.80 ms
Round trip minimum:	1.98 ms

Before my upgrades, I didn’t see any drop event for this. So I guess that something triggered this on software level.

Not sure what happened. But in the last 2 hours, not 1 disconnection?
So I guess that it’s been solved.

I didn’t change anything on my side. Maybe somewhere a caching issue at ‘home connect’ or in OH? I cleared several times the cache of openhab after the upgrade. But maybe the problem was locate somewhere else?

I got that error when I tried to build it in Eclipse, but it worked OK when I built it with Maven.

Hi,

I’m working on branch 2.5.x-next (https://github.com/bruestel/org.openhab.binding.homeconnect). Here you can find all my recent changes/commits.

I’ve created a litte shell script to migrate this 2.5.x version of the binding to a 3.x. This way I can support both versions. I’ll will not upgrade my production environment to 3.0. Maybe I will do it in spring. My setup is very complex and it works very good.

When the code migration from 2.5.x to 3.x is done I push it to the branch 3.0.x-homeconnect-release (https://github.com/bruestel/org.openhab.binding.homeconnect/tree/3.0.x-homeconnect-release).

Never tried it in Eclipse. I’m using Intellij. Is it ok for you to fetch the dependency via maven? Does it work.

When I pull your branch 3.0.x to my local HD and run MVN clean install, it does build without any errors. However I have not yet tried actually running the jar on MC so I can’t say if it “works”. But I will keep you informed…

Hi all.
Just installed last version of Bining on OH 2.5.10.
I’m using BOSH Dishwasher SMV88TX36E.

Basic functions are working (e.g. Power State, Operative Remote, Remote Activation )
No luck with light intensity, status and Color (may be intensity and color are not available for my Dishwasher).

I hope you are fine. Should we give it a try to upgrade your 2.5.x version to version 3.x?

If there is no veto from your side, I will give it a try to figure out what needs to be adapted to run with OH3?

Thanks for your feedback. You can just remove the automatically created items of your dishwasher. Then the error will disappear.

as I also own a Bosch Home Connect dishwasher, I would love to see this in the main repository.
What is missing to get this released as a stable version?
