Homematic Binding working with XML-API Addon 2.0?

Hi Everyone,

Does anybody know, if the new Version of XML-API Addon 2.0 for Raspberrymatic / CCU
will work with the Homematic Binding?

The XML-API 2.0 lists as a breaking change, that a token based authentication must be used to access the API. Currently the bridge does not support a token configuration. So I guess that the binding will not work after upgrading.

I thought the same, when I asked the question, but I’m not even sure, if the binding is using the XML-API. I think there is a difference to the XML-RPC-API and that might be, what the binding is using.
From my understanding:

  • XML-API: Community Addon maintained by Jens Maus
  • XML-RPC-API: builtin API maintained by eq3

Maybe someone can bring some light into this.

Openhab is using XML-RPC-API. XML-API 1.X or 2.0 is a different thing for other third party software for homematic etc tinymatic. Openhab dont uses XML-API.

Thanks for the confirmation. A friend of mine told me today, that he already updated the addon without any issue regarding openHAB.
