What version of OH are you using?
That version is over a year old and you may want to upgrade to the latest stable version which is 2.5. With the new version and it’s new bindings your gateway may work just fine.
If you do not want to upgrade then maybe an updated binding might work.
Place the jar file (do not use 3.0 version) in usr/share/openhab2/addons and see if it will work on OH 2.4 Don’t forget to uninstall the current binding first.
Hi, same issue here, any luck so far ?
Hi, I tried with 2.5 but no luck. Same error.
it looks like the api has changed. I think a the miilight binding must be updatet. The new api is cloud based not local network based.
Other smarthome solutions has the same problem.
I found this forum entry:
“[The MiBoxer devices use the Tuya cloud API and have a new mobile app. I have not yet been successful at getting them to work with the plugin or directly via the local API. Caveat emptor.
Ibox2: works with local API
WL-Box1: Not so much.]”
do you have any news of this device?
Hi guys …
I am thinking about to setup also the MiBoxer WL-box1.
But if I can’t control it in openHAB it’s not so good.
Has someone the Milight-Binding running with the box?
Thanks and best regards … Marco
Is there an update about the WL-Box1 support?
I would really like to use it with openhab.
Hi developer, is there still no update for OH 3.1 after more than one year?
Or does work the binding of OH 3.4?
using free software developed by people in their free time, but then expecting frequent updates. its open source so you could adapt the binding. Or at least provide the needed API specs so someone capable could pick it up.
