How to detect zwave devices on windows with usb dongle

  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: AMD Ryzen 5/16g/os on m.2 openHAB on HDD/ ATRIM Stick zwave usb stick
    • OS:Win 10 Pro
    • Java Runtime Environment: jdk-17
    • openHAB version: 4.0.4
  • Issue of the topic: I am new and do not know how to get my z wave dongle to discover my zwave lightswitch. I have made the binding and Thing. From here I am lost. I have read this article and under Initialization it says In the UI enable discovery mode but I can not find this.

Go to settings ----> Things
Click big blue dot with plus sign in lower right corner
Choose zwave

Thank you. I could have sworn I looked there but I guess not. I did font the light switch as ZWave node.

Now I just need to work on actually setting it up.
