How to properly replace a broken ZigBee coordinator?

Got it thx

Hi all,
and especially hi @chris ,

is it somehow possible to set the
“Custom IEEE Address”`?

openhab> zigbee ncpstate
Ember NCP state : EMBER_JOINED_NETWORK
Local Node Type : EMBER_COORDINATOR
IEEE Address : 84B4DBFFFEEFFFFF
Custom IEEE Address : FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
NWK Address : 0000
Network PAN Id : D896
Network EPAN Id : D1EDA82EE04DDDDDD
Radio Channel : 17
Network Manager Id : 0000
Radio TX Power : -1
Join Method : EMBER_USE_MAC_ASSOCIATION
Board Name :
Manufacturer Name :
Stack Version : 6.10.3.0
Custom Version :

It’s possible, but not without reprogramming the chip with a low level programmer. I don’t know why you would want to do that though, but practically it’s not really something you will likely be able to do.

Hi @chris

Wouldn’t that be needed / useful in case of the replacement of the ZigBee Coordinator because the bind tables in the Devices contain the IEEE Address of the Coordinator?

No - it is not used for replacing a coordinator. There is another system used to restore the coordinator address.

Okay,

i’m a bit conflused now.
At the moment I’m trying to restore my zigbee stick because i’ve updated ít to EZSP9.
Now I replaced the stick and have the issue that

zigbee ncpstate OFFLINE
zigbee restore “>>>>whatever string”
zigbee ncpstate ONLINE

leads to that that ~50% of the devices are not available on the new stick. (ROUTERS)
If I downgrade the new stick it will show the other ~50%. (END DEVICES)

Any ideas would be welcome.

zigbee restore on command line?

Thanks
/Franz

Could it be that the Values are not restored correctly?
