Hi Willibald, when you say “…worked from OH 4.3 through all…” you mean there is also a OH 4.3 compatible version available? If yes, where can I get it? Thank you for your support.
I apologize but i can’t 100% confirm this. Am not able to reconstruct my upgrade history completely. It worked out either starting with 4.3.8 or with 5.0.3. Sorry if i confused you. Simon @Maihacke should be able to answer this for sure.
I’m on the 5.2 snapshot and I still get this error
Request https://idmsa.apple.com/appleauth/auth/signin/complete?isRememberMeEnabled=true failed with 401.
I upgraded my Pi to Rpi5, upgraded to the snapshot from 5.1, tried the app token, nothing works.
What is your understanding of “app token”? You need your original Apple account data, username and password. Then it might be, that you are asked once for a 2FA code.
I read where you could designate an app token for the iCloud connection. I did that and it didn’t work.
I also tried my apple ID and password and then paused the service to trigger 2FA and it never triggers the alert on my apple devices.
For me it is still not working. I have updated openhab to 5.1.3 release build.
Also the iCloud binding is 5.1.3. Checked it in the console that only 1 instance is running.
Disabling and enabling of the thing gives me the error : Please provide 2-FA code in thing configuration. But I do not get the code on the iPhone or Mac.
Also deinstalled the binding and installed the binding 5.0.4. snapshot. Not working. Deinstalled it and installed 5.1.0 snapshot. Also this was not working. I have always checked if there only 1 instance of the binding was running.
How to get the 2FA code? Or is there a workaround.
There’s also something about “logging into your icloud account” and “unlocking” your device, or something like that. It’s probably mentioned higher up in the topic.
I did read all the comments once more but could not find find : “logging into your icloud account” and “unlocking” your device option.
Also simply hitting the save button in the binding config (with correct password and initial empty code field) does not trigger a code request (solution from post 41).
That can’t be true: iCloud binding, authentication problem - #137 by ErikDB
Although I must admit, it’s rather vague.
It is true. I saw that post and of course I did login to iCloud.com but that did not help me.
Have logged out all browsers but that did not help.
Also could not find the option you mention. My iCloud.com is working normally.
I don’t own anything Apple myself, so I’ll have to defer to others, I’m afraid.
