Image Item, how to use it

As far as i know openHAB Beta 4 should already use ESH 0.9, am i right?

So i should theoretically be able to use the new Item Type. So the next question would be how to set the data for that item type. Is there a method to set the rawdata from an url For example, so that every time the cover art from plex or from the squeezebox changes i could refresh the Image Item via a rule.

I still could not find documentation on defining Image item type in .items file. All examples are of using Image in sitemap.
