Hi folks,
I have an issue with a Qubino Smart Plug reporting every second (or so) in the “meter_watts” channel a value between 0 and 0.1 W.
This fluctuation is creating a small problem in my rrd4j persistence:
2022-02-27 21:47:10.240 [ERROR] [d4j.internal.RRD4jPersistenceService] - Could not create rrd4j database file '/var/lib/openhab/persistence/rrd4j/Qubino_Oven_MeteredWallPlug_SensorPower.rrd': null
The strategy is everyChange, everyMinute
This is the only sensor I have with this issue. I would like to know if I can modify something, in order to mitigate it.
Any suggestion will be appreciated
thanks
Andrea

Hello Andrea,
The smart plug has adjustable thresholds, have a look here

there is a note
NOTE: Power consumption needs to increase or decrease by at least 1 Watt to be reported, REGARDLESS of percentage set in this parameter.
mmm … so this fluctuation should not impact at all, right?

On devices of this type I usually disable the threshold reporting and use the time reporting only for just this reason. Maybe the 1 watt cap isn’t working?
