I support 100% what you are saying. I myself have been suffering of an extremely bad supported (actually you can call it abandoned in my book) binding (digitalstrom). With the lightest breeze it stopped working and you had to work around the breakdown for days until there was a workaround again. Even an offer for bounty did not cure the problem. Just that nobody comes with the payment argument…
OpenHAB is very nice and if I had not the issues with digitalstrom binding, it would quite cover my needs. But now I have to find a working solution, even if that means to pay. I rather pay than wasting my time.
