My name is Hanno, I am working for Kugu Home. We are a young smart home
company, who work with real estate developers to include a smart home
system in their renovation or retrofit plans, especially for short-term
rental apartments and offices.
We want to save the owners and the tenants heat, electricity and money
and increase the tenant’s comfort. This way, we contribute to the energy
transition.
We chose openHAB/Eclipse Smart Home as the heart of our solution and
Z-wave as the primary radio protocol. We are entirely convinced of the
open source philosophy and intend to share back changes and extensions
and take a role as an active contributer to the projects. IT security,
data protection and privacy are of great importance for us, as well as
local control, transparency and openness for the tenants.
We are looking for a Java developer with personal involvement in the
topic of home automation, preferably in the Berlin area (though remote
work may also be possible), ideally on terms of a permanent full-time
contract.
