My innogy controller can be updated to local acces (and kill remote server acces).
This will create a lot of new things and items.
Is it possible and advisable to edit the json files and replace the current thing ID with the new ones?
I’d rather not go through all my items manually ans link them to all the new channels.

As far as I understood Livisi is stopping support ( and stops hosting the servers) and decided to make one more release creating local acces.
Yes, I heard about it a couple of month ago. But didn’t know it’s ready now. The local API is the best way to go. They should have done it right from the beginning.
