Lloytron Doorbell Chimes and the lot on OpenHab

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has come across the Lloytron devices (Lloytron B7030WH Chime Doorbell). Having just purchased a doorbell chime unit over the weekend, these seem to be of good quality and very convenient.

If anyone knows how these devices work (they must be on radio frequency, something like 433MHz as batteries are tiny and apparently work over large distance) and how to integrate into Openhab, please let me know.

In the meantime, I’ve sent a customer inquiry to the company. Let’s see if they respond and how good their customer services is.

I’ll keep you posted.

If it is a 433Mhz device, then something like the Sonoff RF Bridge flashed with tasmota would work to activate the chime. The tasmota software can be integrated with Openhab using MQTT or with direct HTTP calls via the HTTP binding. It was a complicated setup, but I use the latter to activate my roller shades, a chime and a few RF outlets.
