Logging question

I’ve seen references in various posts here that say using logInfo/logDebug to log what’s happening with OH2. Where should I expect to find the log? I see nothing in the system log, on RaspberryPi and I can’t find logBack.xml, which is where posts have indicated info/errors should be logged. I installed my OH2 from Binary and the home directory is /opt/openhab2/home.
