Can you share your solution for others that may run into similar issues?

They took @sihui advise.

One of the key takeaways from the Help us Help You post is “if you don’t tell us, we don’t know and have no choice but to assume you didn’t.”

It’s obvious to you that you did it but you didn’t mention it. It’s not obvious to us. The more detail you give and the more evidence you present showing us what you’ve tried, not only are we more willing to help, we can save everyone a whole ton of time going back and forth only to discover you’ve already tried the stuff being recommended.

For everyone reading this in the future.

  • You cannot provide too much information or details when asking for help. We need everything you can think of about what you installed, how you installed it, error logs are vital, and what you’ve already tried.
  • Not doing so is a waste of our time and your time.
  • Given we are all volunteers, we don’t like it when people waste our time and often our responses will show that.

In a tl;dr: Don’t make us drag information out of you.

The less you tell us, the more terse and “unhelpful” the replies will be.

Posting actual logs and not just descriptions of logs is also very helpful.

It’s also considered common courtesy to post a full description of the root cause of the problem and the solution.
